Accountant / Office Manager (CR463)

Our client, a farm based in the Klapmuts region, is looking for an energetic, go-getter to join their team as a Senior Bookkeeper and Office Manager.


You will be tasked with overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the office and administrative function of the business.


Report directly to Sales & Marketing Manager and Head of Production to offer support in the day to day running and management of our client’s administration and operations

  • Managing, delegating and reviewing work of office administrative/bookkeeping staff

  • Achieve office management goals and objectives through agreed KPIs


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Implement and maintain systems and processes to ensure efficiency in the company’s administration and operations, bookkeeping, database management, management of administrative staff, budgeting and communications with clients, suppliers and various other external stakeholders

  • Manage office staff, including office administrator

  • Establish and oversee financial reporting, budgets, plans, policies, and programs

  • Review and create reports for strategic decision making - sales budgets and forecasts, revenues and costs.

  • Identify problem areas and adapt procedures or re-evaluate resources, as required

  • Support senior management in creating and maintaining positive company culture

  • Support senior management as required

  • Support professional development of office staff

  • Provide daily and weekly reports to management, as required


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in office management

  • Preferred qualifications: BCom Degree

  • Computer literacy with experience using MS Office Suite

  • Knowledge and Experience in:

  • Specific supplier systems: CHEP and other relevant systems

  • Xero Online Accounting Software

  • Attention to detail

  • Budgeting skills

  • Leadership skills to manage office staff and maintain efficient operations

  • Effective administrative and organisational skills

  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively

  • Communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

  • Able to work unsupervised and manage own time/activities

  • Own mode of transport

  • Live near to Klapmuts and willingness to be present on farm during weekends as and when required


WORKING HOURS:

Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 17:00



SALARY:

R25 000 – R30 000 CTC
