Our client in the Boland region has an exciting full-time position available within their Crop Science R&D team for a Development & Registration Coordinator.
The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of field trials for registration, screening and launch of new products. Technical preparation of registration applications in accordance with regulatory requirements.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Field trials planning and management
Develop trial protocols for registration, screening and pre-launch trials in support of the company's new product growth strategic plan, ensuring scientific integrity of research work and established data.
Facilitate availability of trial products and timely availability of product to trial contractors.
Coordinate import permit application.
Participate in estimating project budgets and allocate trials within the approved budgets.
Facilitate (enable) the successful completion of trials by contractors, within allocated budgets.
Ensure the execution of product field trials reflect the priorities of the department and are allocated and completed within the approved statement of work.
Participate in/contribute to development project planning and review.
Facilitate trial visits to key projects and document relevant information and findings.
Monitor through planned site visits and spot audits that professional activities and field trials are done in accordance with subscribed protocols and good research practice.
Coordinate receipt of reports and evaluate trial report for accuracy and protocol compliance, identifying possible exceptions and anomalies at agreed times, with the aim to maintain or improve the quality of the results.
Participate in continuous communication (including attending meetings) with stakeholders of field trials as and when required to provide updates, feedback and resolve any issues.
Summarize trial results and provide regular feedback to the R&D Manager and team at agreed times.
Support applications for registration of products with
documented results and comprehensive reports as and when required.
Liaise with Technical & Marketing team to share relevant information flowing from R&D activities to benefit the company marketing efforts.
Regulatory and Registration support
Support applications for registration of products with documented results and comprehensive reports as and when required
Evaluate and summarize field trial and other technical data to be submitted to support the application.
Evaluate data to determine targets and effective dosages.
Prepare trial report and summary tables for submission with registration application.
Draft the concept label and covering letter, in consultation with the Development Manager and rest of the Development team, as relevant.
Departmental support and development
Research specific active ingredients, crops or other required information to support goals and objectives of the department.
Develop skills, knowledge and expertise in position, by amongst others:
Attending industry workshops and events in support of personal development and to exchange technical knowledge with peers.
Maintain and develop own knowledge and skills in areas of research through appropriate journals and other literature.
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant B.Sc or M.Sc. degree
Preferably at least 3 years' experience in a similar role in the agricultural chemistry industry
