Our client, an engineering concern in Paarl, is looking for a Customer Care Representative. This individual will report to the National Key Accounts Manager.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
This individual will perform a support role within the company and to the National Key Accounts Manager.
This individual will perform customer service activities by dealing with the company’s customers on a front-line basis, by screening queries, answering questions, providing guidance and solutions and to escalate complaints and ensuring that the queries are directed to the correct department/lab within the group to be resolved.
These activities will need to be coordinated and this individual will need to ensure that the queries and complaints get actioned and resolved in a timeously manner. Coordinating, multi-tasking and juggling many queries, at different stages in the process at a time is required.
This individual will need to have a positive, well-mannered and friendly attitude and act professional at all times. This individual will be communicating with customers and other staff members through various communication channels, so the individual needs to have very good communication skills – writing and verbal in both English and Afrikaans languages.
Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills is important, as this individual will need to assess a query/situation and provide solutions to problems. This is a high volume, fast-paced environment, so the individual will need to be able to cope with pressure, stress and working against a timeframe for queries to be resolved.
REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 and a Tertiary qualification would be preferred
Minimum of 5 Years’ experience in a similar/related role
Computer literate – Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other ERP systems experience would be preferred
Friendly demeanor, well-mannered and presentable
Well spoken, strong interpersonal and communication skills – reading and writing in Afrikaans and English
Organized, diligent, conscientious, a good eye for attention to detail
Lateral thinking, problem solving skills
Multi-tasking, coordinating and juggling various things at a time
Cope well under pressure and works well in a team environment
WORKING PARTICULARS
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00

SALARY
R14 500 – R18 500 (negotiable depending on experience)
